10P/Tempel, also known as Tempel 2, is a periodic comet of the Jupiter family with an orbital period of 5.36 years. It was discovered in July 1873 by Wilhelm Tempel. The comet's nucleus is estimated to be approximately the size of Halley's Comet, at 10.6 kilometers in diameter.
