发布日期:

3D/Biela was a periodic comet of the Jupiter family which had an orbital period of 6.62 years. Was first observed in 1772 by Montaigne and Messier, and identified as periodic in 1826 by Wilhelm von Biela. In 1852, the comet was observed to split into two parts. After that, parts of the comet's nucleus were never seen again. Therefore, Biela is considered a lost comet.
