6 Hebe

6 Hebe is a large S-type asteroid in the asteroid belt. It was discovered in July 1847 by Karl Ludwig Hencke. In 1977 a small moon around Hebe was reported, but detailed observations with the Very Large Telescope and the Hubble Space Telescope failed to find such a moon, and therefore its existence is questioned.
