TOI-2267, also known as LP 4-80 and G 222-3, is a binary star system composed of an M5V spectral type red dwarf (17.1% of the Sun's mass, 0.2075 solar radii) and an M6V spectral type red dwarf (9.89% of the Sun's mass, 0.13 solar radii). The distance between these two red dwarfs is only 8 AU, and they are about 73.54 light-years from Earth. A total of three super-Earths have been confirmed in the system, but it is still unclear which star these planets orbit. Dynamical analysis suggests that the most stable configuration is for planets b and c (near a 3:2 resonance) to orbit one star, while planet d orbits the other. This scenario would make TOI-2267 the most compact known binary system in which both components host transiting planets, providing a unique benchmark for studying the formation and evolution of planets in compact binary systems.
