8P/Tuttle is a Jupiter-family comet with a highly-inclined 14-year orbit around the Sun. Measuring about 4.5 km in diameter, the comet will make three close approaches to Earth between 1980 and 2130, with the closest encounter expected on December 25, 2130 at a distance of 0.09 AU (14 million km)
