CWISE J105512.11+544328.3, also known as W1055+5443, is a single Y0-type brown dwarf or super Jupiter about 22.5 light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. Discovered in 2012 and initially classified as a T dwarf, its Y-type nature was confirmed via near-infrared spectroscopy with the Keck II telescope in 2021. The object has an effective temperature of approximately 500 ± 150 K and an estimated mass of 4–6 times that of Jupiter. It exhibits the bluest Spitzer [3.6]−[4.5] color among all spectroscopically confirmed Y dwarfs, making it an exceptional target for studying the coolest known class of substellar objects.
