CoRoT-9 is a binary system consisting of a G-type main sequence star and a red dwarf star. A massive gaseous planet orbits Planet A with a orbital period of only 95 Earth days, and this planet is composed of hydrogen and helium, possibly containing over 20 heavier elements from Earth.
