HIP 78530, also known as HD 143567, is a single B9V-type main-sequence star about 447.5 light-years away in the constellation Scorpius . A brown dwarf with a mass of approximately 23 times that of Jupiter was discovered orbiting this star via direct imaging in 2011, with a projected separation of about 740 AU from the primary .
