HD 38283, also known as HIP 26380, is a single F9.5V-type main-sequence star about 123 light-years away in the constellation Mensa . A Saturn-mass planet with a minimum mass of approximately 0.34 times that of Jupiter was discovered orbiting this star via the radial velocity method in 2011, with an orbital period of about 363 days at a semi-major axis of 1.02 AU . The planet follows a highly eccentric orbit (e = 0.41), causing its distance to vary between 0.60 and 1.44 AU .
