HD 106906 is a binary star system of two F-type main-sequence stars about 337 light-years away in the constellation Crux. A massive debris disk about 65-550 AU wide surrounds the pair of stars, in addition to a very distant planetary-mass companion (nicknamed "Gallifrey") currently about 900 AU from both stars, completing an orbit once every 3,000 years
