20000 Varuna is a large 658 km classical Kuiper belt object (cubewano) listed as a possible dwarf planet by astronomer Gonzalo Tancredi. It was discovered in 2000-Nov-28 from the Kitt Peak National Observatory. An unconfirmed satellite first spotted in 2019 may be orbiting near Varuna's own Roche limit
