Release date:

MACHO-1997-BLG-41 is a star system detected by microlensing in the constellation Sagittarius. It was announced in 1997 as being a binary system of red dwarf stars, with a 3.5 Jupiter-mass planet orbiting the both. However, this planet was disproven, as it was found that it is better explained by binary lens model accounting for orbital motion rather than a planet.
