Venus Express was an ESA space probe that orbited Venus from 2006-2015. The mission's main objective is to conduct long term observations of the Venusian atmosphere. It was hoped that such studies can contribute to an understanding of atmospheric dynamics in general, while also contributing to an understanding of climate change on Earth.
