HD 1690, aka HIP 1692, is a K-type giant star located about 2453.54 light years from the solar system. The star, residing slightly outside the galactic plane, hosts a highly eccentric warm super Jupiter (b= 8.79 Mj). The orbit of this planet takes it from as far as 2.13 au to as close as 0.47 au.
