489P/Denning is a Jupiter-family comet with a current orbital period of 9.4 years. It was discovered in 1894 by William F. Denning, however it was lost for 130 years until Maik Meyer identified that the asteroid 2007 HE₄ as the same object as Denning's comet. As of 2025, it is the most recent previously lost comet that was successfully recovered.
