HD 102365, also known as Gliese 442 and 66 G. Centauri, is a binary star system about 30.4 light-years away in the constellation Centaurus. The primary is a G2V-type main-sequence star, with an M4V companion at a wide separation of about 211 AU. A Neptune-mass planet with a minimum mass of approximately 16 times that of Earth was announced in 2011 orbiting the primary star via the radial velocity method, with an orbital period of 122.1 days. However, this detection could not be confirmed by subsequent high-precision radial velocity surveys. Recent observations with the ESPRESSO spectrograph found no conclusive evidence for the planet, with the 122-day signal most likely originating from stellar activity rather than a planetary companion.
