1991 VG is a small near-Earth asteroid approximately 5-12 meters in diameter. It was observed between November 1991 and April 1992, and was only recovered again in May 2017. It has a heliocentric orbit similar to Earth's and occasionally makes close approaches, such as between 1991-1992 when it was temporarily captured by Earth, orbiting it in a retrograde manner.
