Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) is a NASA mission that successfully landed the Curiosity rover to Mars on August 2012. Its mission is to assess the geology, climate and habitability of Mars, in addition to collecting data for a future crewed mission to the Red Planet. The mission is still active (as of 2023)
