Gamma Cephei, also known as Errai is a binary star system comprising of a K-type giant and a red dwarf about 44.2 light-years away in the constellation Cepheus. The primary star's only superjovian planet (Tadmor) was speculated to exist as early as 1988, but only confirmed in 2002. In retrospect, this makes Tadmor the first known exoplanet, predating the discovery of the planets from PSR B1257+12 by three years.
