K2-48, also known as EPIC 201677835, is a K-type main-sequence star located 1032.655 light-years from Earth. This star has a size of 0.73 times that of the Sun and a mass of 0.77 times that of the Sun. It hosts a sub-Neptune with an orbital period of approximately 20 Earth days.
