16P/Brooks

16P/Brooks is a periodic comet discovered in July 1889 by William Robert Brooks. In August 1889, Edward Emerson Barnard discovered a series of fragments, believed to have originated due to the passage of this comet within the Roche limit of Jupiter in 1886.
