Qatar-8, also known as TOI-2579, is a Sun-like star about 925.58 light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. A gas giant planet larger than Jupiter, but only 1/3 of its mass, completes an orbit once every 3.72 days at a distance of 6.79 million km from its star
