K2-17 is a star of spectral type K5, 409.5 light-years from Earth, and it has a planet K2-17 b, discovered in 2015. Its orbital period is only 17.96 days, and its diameter is about one-fifth that of Jupiter. It may be a mini-Neptune or a rocky planet with a thick atmosphere
