KELT-26, also known as WASP-178 and HD 134004, is an A-type main-sequence star about 1,410 light-years away in the constellation Lupus. An ultra-hot Jupiter with a 3.34-day orbital period was discovered via the transit method, whose atmosphere contains silicon monoxide, iron, and magnesium, forming a cloudless upper atmosphere where silicon monoxide exists in gaseous form.
