Popularly known as J1407, it is a K-type main-sequence star about 454 light-years away in the constellation Centaurus. It has a super-Jovian planet or brown dwarf with the largest ring system ever discovered, measured at a whopping 90 million km (about 745 times larger than the rings of Saturn). However, by 2021, it was discovered the parent star is strongly variable, with a 5.4-year long magnetic activity cycle, which subsequently made the actual characteristics of this candidate planet difficult to model
