Anik is a series of geosynchronous communications satellites operated by Telesat for broadcasting television and relaying telephone signals across Canada. Its first-generation fleet (Anik-A) is built using the HS-333 bus, three were launched between 1972 and 1975, providing services until 1984. They are now replaced by newer satellites of the fleet.
