2006 VW₁₃₉ is an active asteroid binary system. It is also known as periodic comet number 288P. The object was discovered by Spacewatch in November 2006, however the binary nature was only confirmed by the Hubble Space Telescope in September 2016. The two components are estimated to be about 1.8 km in diameter, orbiting each other in a wide separation of 104 km every 135 days.
