Luna 10 was a soviet space probe launched on March 31, 1966 towards the Moon. On April 3, 1966, Luna 10 became the first space probe to orbit the Moon. The probe performed 460 orbits around the Moon until the communication was lost on May 30, 1966. What happened after that is uncertain, it is not possible to know if the probe collided with the lunar surface or stayed in orbit much longer.
