HD 85512 is a nearby K-type main-sequence star only about 36.81 light-years away in the constellation Vela. It is host to a single supervenusian planet that is formerly considered as a potentially habitable planet. However, reanalysis of its radial velocity in 2023 turned out that it is more consistent with its host star's rotation period, putting the planet's entire existence in question
