The Great Daylight meteor, or Grand Teton meteor, is a very bright Earth-grazing fireball that narrowly missed impact with Earth about 57 km above Jackson Lake, Wyoming, USA on 1972-Aug-10. Analysis of its appearance and trajectory suggests that the object was 3-14 m in diameter, later reduced to 2-12 m post-encounter. It remains in orbit around the Sun to this day.
