1RXS J160929.1-210524 is a K-type main-sequence star, about 450 light-years away from Earth, located in the constellation Scorpius. This star is about 11 million years old. On September 8, 2008, a super-Jupiter was announced to have been discovered, with a semi-major axis of about 330 AU. This planet is the eighth directly imaged exoplanet.
