Sentinel-6, also known as Jason-CS, is a series of Earth observation satellites jointly operated by NASA/NOAA, and ESA/CNES. They carry radar altimeters to monitor the Earth's surface and topography from medium Earth orbit (MEO). Two satellites were launched in 2020 and 2025, with a third one planned for 2030.
