WASP-53, also known as TOI-272, is located in the constellation Cetus, 660.489 light-years away from Earth, is a K-type main-sequence star, it is surrounded by two massive objects, one is closer to the star, is a hot Jupiter, the mass is 2.13 times that of Jupiter, the orbital period is about 3 days, and the other is farther away from the star, has a large eccentricity, 16.35 times the mass of Jupiter, so this object is more likely to be a low-mass brown dwarf
