The Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem (PACE) satellite is a NASA Earth observation mission designed to measure global ocean color, biochemistry, and ecology. Launched in February 2024, it is intended to identify phytoplankton blooms and improve understanding of air quality, which will benefit the sectors of economy in water quality, fisheries and food security.
