OGLE-2007-BLG-349L is a binary star system located about 9,000 light-years away in the constellation Sagittarius. The system consists of two M-dwarf stars with masses of approximately 0.41 M☉ and 0.30 M☉, orbiting each other with a period of about 9.7 days at a separation of roughly 0.06 AU. In 2016, a circumbinary planet designated OGLE-2007-BLG-349L(AB)c was discovered orbiting this system via the microlensing method—the first circumbinary planet ever found by this technique. The planet has a mass of approximately 80 ± 13 M🜨 (about 0.25 MJ) and orbits at a distance roughly 40 times the separation of the two stars.
