132524 APL is a small asteroid in the asteroid belt, discovered by the LINEAR project in 2002. It was named after the Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), which manages the New Horizons spacecraft that performed a distant and incidental flyby of the asteroid on 2006-Jun-13, at a distance of 102,000 km.
