Stonehenge is a prehistoric megalithic structure located within Salisbury Plains in Wiltshire, England. Constructed between 3100 BC and 1600 BC, its main purpose and function is unknown, though it is widely believed to be used as an astronomical observatory, a religious site, or even burial grounds. It is currently designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986.
