Release date:
Gliese 777, also known as HD 190360, is a binary system consisting of a G-type (yellow) subgiant and an M (red) dwarf, located 52 light-years away in the constellation of Cygnus. Two planets have been confirmed around the primary star: b is remarkable for being one of the most Jupiter-like planets known when it was announced in 2003, although it has a quite eccentric orbit, which takes it from 2.6 to 5.2 au around its star; and c, in a close 17-day orbit, is also notable for being one of the first hot Neptunes discovered (2005). There might also be a third planet, although it's possibly an artifact of the radial-velocity data.
