Wind is a NASA spacecraft launched in 1994-Nov-1 as part of the Global Geospace Science program. It was deployed to study radio waves and plasma that occur in the solar wind, in the Earth's magnetosphere, and near lunar environment. Positioned at the Sun-Earth Lagrange-1 point (L1) since May 2004, it has enough fuel to maintain its position there until at least 2074, exactly 80 years after it was launched.
