ROXs 21, also known as SR 12 , is a binary star system of two M-type pre-main-sequence stars about 366 light-years away in the constellation Ophiuchus. A wide-separation planetary-mass companion with a mass approximately 11~15 times that of Jupiter was discovered via direct imaging in 2011, orbiting at a separation of about 1,100 AU from the binary pair.
