The Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 (OCO-2) is a NASA environmental satellite dedicated in studying carbon dioxide concentrations and distribution in the Earth's atmosphere. Launched in July 2014, its findings are being complemented by the OCO-3 instrument currently mounted on the International Space Station. It is still active as of 2024.
