Comet Bernardinelli–Bernstein, formal designation C/2014 UN271, is a large, distant comet that is expected to reach perihelion by 2031 at a distance of 10.9 AU. Measuring about 120 km in diameter, it is the largest known cometary nucleus that has originated from the Oort Cloud
