U Equulei is a post-AGB (likely binary) star about 13,046 light-years away in the constellation Equuleus. Recent observations in the past 30 years reveal that this star is slowly brightening up, most likely due to the accretion of material from its circumstellar disk, thus leading to its increasing luminosity
